State Park Concessionaire Hours-Some privately-owned attractions in the parks such as riding stables, marinas, and other entertainment venues have reduced operating hours or are closed during the winter season. If you are visiting a park, please check in advance to see if a specific attraction is available.  

Lake Murray State Park Updates

The park office has moved to a new location at the intersection of Lodge Road and Scenic SH-77, 5 miles south of the former location. Martin's Landing and Buzzard's Roost Campgrounds *only* will be closed for RV campground renovations until the spring of 2012. Seven other campgrounds in Lake Murray State Park are available for RV and tent camping, with some remaining open throughout the winter. Tucker Tower remains closed to the public while also undergoing renovations. It is expected to open in the spring. For campground information, call 580-223-4044

Park Facility Updates

Lake Texoma State Park-Due to low water levels at Lake Texoma,two boat ramps within the state park have been temporarily closed.  Four ramps are available. Lake Murray State Park-Boat ramps at Tipps Point and Martins Landing have been temporarily closed due to low water levels. Ramps are available in the Marina area, Buzzards Roost, Elephant Rock and Marietta Landing. One lane at the North Unloading Ramp is also available.

Silversmith Class

This event is for jewelry lovers everywhere! Participants will learn how to make your own personal sterling silver pieces and you get to keep what you make. This is a three day class that begins each day at 9:00am at the Deep Fork Nature Center at Lake Eufaula State Park. Illinois River Fly Fishing School

Fly-fishing is a technique that can be easily mastered. Learn the artful skill at the Illinois River Fly Fishing School sponsored in partnership with Lake Tenkiller State Park. Instruction by Mark Patton and Tom Adams. To enroll in the class, call 405-340-1992, and to book a cabin at Lake Tenkiller State Park, call 918-489-5641. Class fee includes three meals, drinks and snacks. Cabin rental at the park is not included in class fee.
